xfce4-terminal no longer working

A few weeks ago I was dist-upgrading my Debian system inside an
xfce4-terminal. I forgot about it and suspended the machine because I
had to go out, which led to me having to go into rescue mode in order to
fix the broken update. Everything seems to be working normally, except
the xfce4-terminal no longer works. This led to me discovering a couple
terminal alternatives that I like, but I'd like to point that even
removing and then reinstalling xfce4-terminal does not make it work.

Here is an error I just got:

xfce4-terminal: symbol lookup error: xfce4-terminal: undefined symbol:
gdk_seat_grab


Before that it was saying, "I/O error."

Any ideas?
