Rearranging desktop icons

this I cannot confirm.
The icon arrangement is stored in 
~/.config/xfce4/deskto/icons.screen0-1840x1064.rc.
You can copy the file to e. g. icons.screen0-1840x1064.rc.chris and try 
to get it back after false arrangement.
