Terminal window truncating output

I guess now I understand what you're talking about.

If you e.g. run xfce4-terminal --maximize and then resize the window,
text gets lost.

Install Roxterm!

If you run roxterm --maximize and then resize the window, lines
automagically get wrapped.

AFAIK Roxterm is the most used terminal emulation by "power users".
