Terminal window truncating output

I finally am complaining about this.  I am loosing valuable information 
in that the terminal window is not wrapping output.

I check in preferences and did not see any option to allow for wrapping 
text.

Perhaps I am spoiled from gnome terminal wrapping text be default....

So please tell me what I have to do to get output wrapping in a terminal 
window.
