There is a keylock indicator for Xfce, specifically Ubuntu-based
distros via PPA (e.g. Xubuntu, Mint Xfce, etc.)

If you're on another distro, you'll probably have to install it
manually, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't packaged elsewhere.
