Preferred Applications - webbrowser settings ignored

Hi Friedrich,
this feature is very inconsistent. My preferred browser is Opera which 
will be used in most cases if I click on Help (if the application has no 
special help). But if I click on a URL in a terminal, Firefox will be 
used. In Thunderbird it is even more complicated.
