That is one of the features I plan for the context menu. Also, a volume
control of single applications. I was thinking of something like this:
+- Output volume slider (mute button)
+- Input volume slider (mute button)
+- Output device
| + (name of output device 1 with radio button)
| + (name of output device 2 with radio button)
| + ...
+- Select input device
| + (name of input device 1 with radio button)
| + (name of input device 2 with radio button)
| + ...
+- Application volume
| + (name of application 1 + slider + mute button)
| + ...
`- Pulseaudio mixer...

You can mute the output using keyboard shortcuts or middle-button click
on the plugin icon. Later this should also be available in the menu.
