It in addition it doesn't harm to add

LANG=C

before every command people run, if they don't use the English language
and want to post output of commands to an English/International list.

$ LANG=C ls
$ LANG=C make
$ LANG=C foo_bar

Just in case, if there should be the need to send some output

$ sudo -i
# LANG=C msgfmt -c /path/to/source/po/de.po\
  -o /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/xfburn.mo

I'm kidding, but for other commands please try to remember to add LANG=C
before posting messages.
