Delay before getting right-click menu on desktop items

The delay for loading the menu may be caused by a 'heavy' application icon.
Few apps ship heavy icons (look at the icon paths, like /usr/share/icons or
/usr/share/pixmaps) that are loaded by their .desktop files (in
/usr/share/applications), which make the entries show in the menu.
If this is the cause, then you have to find the culprit (usually a less
common app), change its icon (convert it as to reduce the size in bytes) and
then, if possible, warn the app developers so they ship a lighter icon.
The menu opens quickly after the first time because the icon is already
loaded on the cache.
