trouble compiling plugins on Xubuntu Precise

I went ahead and installed xfce4-dev-tools-4.10.0 from a PPA [1], but
I'm hitting the same issue when trying to configure clipman:
root at liv-laptop:/home/liv/Build/xfce4-clipman-plugin-1.2.3# ./autogen.sh
xdt-autogen: The directory doc does not contain
             the required files to run configure. See
             http://wiki.xfce.org/documentation for more information.

Is there anything else missing? Regards
