Does `xfce4-display-settings` work? It does not with me. I have no idea if
it should or could work. When I try, I get a pop-up saying "Unable to
start the Xfce Display Settings". 

I use nvidia-settings and use things like:
DISPLAY=:0.1 nvidia-settings
