Window behavior

I have just moved to xfce under ubuntu oneiric. So far, xfce is working
well. I have two issues.

1. When a window is moved so that the top border hits the top of the
desktop, it immediately resizes to full length. I really don't want this
microsoft-like behavior. Is there a configuration switch to stop this?

2. The window selector that uses buttons seems to get confused when a
window is several work spaces away from the display. Is this being
addressed?
