does xfce4-mpc-plugin's play/pause button toggle?

hi,

i have the problem that the play/pause button of xfce4-mpc-plugin does
not toggle, at least to human eyes, on my computer. whether mpd is
playing or paused, it always shows a pause icon. i skimmed the source
code a bit, and can not find any referenced icon that is related to
start or play.

my code reading skills are definitely poor. so, i'd like to ask here
to be clarified if it is a bug or a designed feature.
