luks umount weirdness

Hi All,

Xfce 4.8
Scientific Linux 6.2, 64 bit

I have a flash drive with two partitions: the first is a straight
vfat, the second is luks encrupted.

When I plug the stick in, both partitions appear on my desktop.
If I mount (password and all) the luks partition, then umount
it (from the desktop right click sub menu), both icons disappear.
This, even if I have both partitions mounted.

I have to unplug the stick and plug it back in to get the icons
back.

Is this normal?
