Session Restore

Hello,
since a short time I use XFCE (Xubuntu 11.10).

I have used over years KDE 3.5 and it was very comfortable using the 
session restore. I use (need) 10 Workspaces and if I start Firefox and 
restore the Firefox-Session, all Firefox Windows start in the actual 
workspace. Is there a way, that they opened in the original workspace?

Is there a way, to restore console sessions?

I know, that session restore is more complex, than users may think.
