No more display settings dialog when open/close laptop lid

Thanks ... but that's not what I'm asking.
What I was saying was it used to be that when I opened or closed the
laptop lid that settings dialog would pop up automatically. That
doesn't happen anymore, and I was wondering if anyone knew why.
