Hi,
I installed Xubuntu on a Sony Vaio PCG-FX403
a. Version 7.04 (feisty)
b. Version 10.04.1 (lucid)
On (a) the screen resolution was 1024x768 (what I wanted).
On (b) the maximum is 800x600 and seems to be unchangeable.
I suppose that is due to changing from hal to udev in the
meantime.
You will find my analysis enclosed.
Is there any workaround to have 1024x768 also with lucid?
Eg. Xfce special settings?
I am sure to hear from you --
Rainer
