disabling xfdesktop?

Sorry to sidestep here. I Agree that an easier way to edit, add and remove
menu items should be possible.

exo-desktop-item-edit is already a nice step in the right direction, but
there are some things that I miss. I am sure people are working on either
extending it or writing sonmething new.

IS there a place where I could go and find out and beta-test?

Some things I miss are (in order of importance):
No list of catagories to select from
Unable to add catagories
No way to edit current entries

I still do think it should be a high priority to make editing of the menu
as easy as possible. So what can I do to help and where must I go to?
