sensors plugin closes

I reinstalled Gentoo a few weeks ago and found a weird problem in Xfce
4.6.2 and sensors plugin: when I click the close button it actually
closes instead of stay in the panel. Dont know if it is crashing for
some reason, but while it is open, the plugin works fine displaying the
sensors data.
Any idea about whats happening here?
