How to I edit the Xfce Menu?

gnome-menus is no heavy dependency, only gnome-panel is. But if you run

sed -e 's/gnome-desktop-item-edit/exo-desktop-item-edit/g' -i
Alacarte/MainWindow.py

and use exo-0.5.x, alacarte works fine with the Xfce desktop item
editor and you don't need gnome-panel.
