gdu-notification-daemon with XFCE ?

Hi,

Gnome has an "autostart" tool, called gdu-notification-daemon,
which alerts you when the health condition of your hard disk is
such that you have to check it and probably replace it.

I consider this a very useful and essential tool, but I cannot make
it work with XFCE.

Is there a way to make it work with XFCE, or is there an equivalent
tool that I can use.

I currently use Fedora 12.
