What is eatmonkey?
==================
Stupid download manager for monkeys and Capuchins!
Eatmonkey is a download manager that works exclusively with aria2, the
ultra fast download utility. It has support for HTTP(s)/FTP, BitTorrent
and Metalink files.

Release notes for 0.1.4
=======================
The draft status is getting very close to final-draft. I have made many
basic experiments with the aria2 XML-RPC interface and didn't stumbled
over miss-behaviours. But I reached a point where continuing with Ruby
will be a waste of time (finally the vapour is reversed). For example
writing the foreseen command-line interface and floating icon to finally
port it later is, well you get it... I'll be looking forward to port the
Ruby code, most probably, to Vala. Expect some freaky speed boosts with
this port, especially during the XML parsing :-)
Regarding Ubuntu 9.10, it packages ruby-gnome2 0.19.0 which has a bug
when using Ruby Thread objects within a GTK+ application. It looks very
positive that it's going to be fixed but for the meantime there are up
to date packages through this PPA[0].

And if this is really the last release in Ruby I have a few words, it's
been very nice to do some real Ruby coding!
