It's on top of master, and it adds an entry in the Preferences > Advanced.

Good :) This can also be set, and you can view it, within Preferences
> Advanced.

There is a setting for the desktop (xfdesktop-settings) to adapt the
style of the image Auto/Streched/etc if that can help.
