> What is thunar-volman?
> ======================
>
> The Thunar Volume Manager is an extension for the Thunar file manager,
> which enables automatic management of removable drives and media. For
> example, if thunar-volman is installed and configured properly, and you
> plug in your digital camera, it will automatically launch your preferred
> photo application and import the new pictures from the camera into your
> photo collection.

> Release notes for 0.5.0
> =======================
>
> Thunar-volman 0.5.0 is a complete rewrite of the old HAL-based code. It
> uses udev and GIO instead of HAL for detecting, categorizing and
> mounting removable media and other devices.
>
> This release makes thunar-volman compatible with thunar 1.1.x again.
> Unfortunately, the use of udev disallows its usage on BSDs and other
> operating systems. Hopefully, we can change this in the future.
>
> At the moment, PDAs are not supported because I haven't found a way to
> detect them using udev properties yet.
