I am not sure, if bluetooth is supported by
NetworkManager-gnome-0.8-5.1.i586, which I use
http://live.gnome.org/NetworkManager/ReleaseProcess

I didn't see anything re bluetooth with my nm-applet. Could it be
because blueman is installed? If I understand the link above correctly,
I see:

The 0.8 release was tagged on 2010-02-18.
So months before Opensuse 11.3 was released
New Features
Improved mobile broadband support using ModemManager for wider hardware
support
Bluetooth Personal Area Networking (PAN) support

0.8.1
This release was tagged in late July 2010 and includes bug fixes the
following features.
New Features
Bluetooth Dial-Up Networking (DUN) support (bgo #432774)
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432774

I found a "factory"-version
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Factory/openSUSE_11.3/i586/NetworkManager-gnome-0.8-60.5.i586.rpm

Do you think I should try this version? I don't understand the
suse-version -60

I would be very interested too, if my umts-modem (ZTE WCDMA) generally
works. Can this be checked somehow? Because if there is a driver
problem or a problem with the udev-rule, it doesn't make sense to check
the nm-applet options.

Thanks for your help!

Al
