Xfce with Compiz experiences?

You do realize that xfwm4's compositor uses the GPU too, right[1]?

[1] Assuming your video drivers accelerate the xrender extension.
Possibly interesting aside: some (many?) video drivers accelerate 2D
operations using the card's 3D pipeline.
