Lost my panel logging out

Oof, yeah, that's messed up.  If you could, please tar.bz2 up 
$HOME/.cache/sessions and attach it to a bug describing your problem (if 
you can get the exact error message, that would be great).

Afterward, you might try clearing out that directory entirely and 
restart Xfce (but *don't* save your session on logout this time).  You 
should get a fresh session when you restart (which will have the panel 
back in it).
