Xfce on Xubuntu 8.10 how change to be Start-Desktop?

A Member of the Debian-Mailing-List gave me the hint, to install
the "gconf-editor" and to change the preference in /apps/nautilus/preference
in taking off the hook at "show_desktop".
Now XFCE is starting normally.
