Xfce 4.6 RC1 strange behavior

Hi

I have a really strange behavior with Xfce 4.6 RC1.

I had not seen this before because I use and always launches the Settings Manager with a keyboard shortcut, without ever having launched the different configuration dialogs one by one in the menu. So, by running each configuration dialog from the Xfce menu, I saw that many of them did not display icons on their buttons.

I thought at first it was a problem with my icon theme, so I have installed the same (tango) that I saw on the Xfce 4.6 tour web page of Jérôme, but the problem was still there.

One of the differences that came to mind between the screenshots of the Xfce 4.6 tour and my system is that you use Xfce in English, me in French. And it's seems that the problem was there.

As picture is worth than a thousand words, at left, the configuration dialog of the mouse and the desktop in French and at right the same in English: http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/1897/21022009.png

The keyboard layout tab, where you can see that not only the Close and Help buttons does not have an icon, but also the buttons Add, Edit and Delete: http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/9602/210220092.png

The configuration dialogs that have this problem:
Accessibility
Display
Appearance
Desktop
Keyboard
Settings Editor
Session and Startup
Mouse

Those who do not have this problem:
Xfce 4 Settings Manager
Preferred Applications
Removable Drives and Media
Workspaces
Window Manager
File Manager
Panel
Window Manager Tweaks
Xfce 4 Calendar Settings
Xfce 4 Printing System Settings

I'm on Debian Lenny and my locale is set to:

$ locale
LANG=fr_CA.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="fr_CA.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

If I reconfigure my system to be in English with "dpkg-reconfigure locale", set it to en_CA.UTF-8 (English Canada UTF-8) and restart, icons reappear like magic...

If you needs more informations, please ask!

Thanks

Pascal
