XFCE-List and Icedove

Hi,

when i look at the XFCE digest mails with icedove (Debian Thunderbird),
i realise, that some parts are in light grey text colour an others are
in black. I guess the light grey parts are meant to be the citing but
this does not work. The greying always starts at a "-- " and ends at a
"> ".
Since a some people here use "-- " to seperate their signature from the
message, the text color changes senselessly over the whole mail which
doesn't really enhance the readability.

Is this

a) My problem
b) The problem of the ones who use the the "-- "
c) An Icedove problem
