I didn't want to imply the problem was a focus problem. I am not good
enough a programmer to claim I know how things work behind the curtains.

It just doesn't _feel_ right, to go to the drawing window, try to drag
something, and immediately see the focus set to another window (at the
moment of left-button-down).
