Xfce pretty slow?

Hm - but why is Firefox not (so) slow in other X "settings"? Is it just the
Xfce window manager which is causing problems here?

That's what I'm using as well. I'm using Gentoo Linux ~x86, which is, more or
less, a different name for "bleeding edge" *g*
