Looking for a video application for xfce

Dear all
I'm looking for a simple video editing application that can 
work with xfce without install any kde libraries. The application  I'm 
searching for, would be very simple and just able to cut a some pieces 
of the track.
I record my favourite tv programns on vcast but usually 
they don't start a the exact time so I often annoyed from spots o tg or 
not wanted other programs before , inside and after the track  of the 
program I want to record
Could some one help me?
