I use gentoo

# ls -lsa /usr/bin/firefox
0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 mar 15 09:58 /usr/bin/firefox -> firefox-bin

and it's firefox "binary", so changing firefox by firefox-bin will do
nothing :-( (I can confirm cause I've tested it).

I'll ask to sylpheed's claws list.
