Error When Accessing Volume in Thunar

Just added a new device to my system, it's got a 500GB drive in it. Got it to
show up in Thunar after formatting with gparted, but when I attempt to access
the volume, I get:

Given device "/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_part1_size_500105217024" is
not a volume or drive.

Did I miss something in this process?
