reverse workspace mouse cycling direction

Is it possible to reverse the direction of the workspace mouse cycling?
As a former fluxbox user I am used to scroll from workspace 1 to
workspace 2 by scrolling the mouse wheel upwards.

I googled a fair amount of time but couldn't find anything. I also
checked src/settings.c if there might be a .config/xfce4/xfwm4/xfwm4rc
switch.
