public svn co broken?

Hey Everyone,
When I try to check out xfce 4.4 from svn with:
svn checkout http://svn.xfce.org/svn/xfce/modules/4.4

it checks out gtk-xfce-engine fine but then I get:
Fetching external item into '4.4/libexo'
svn: URL 'http://svn.xfce.org/svn/xfce/libexo/branches/xfce_4_4' refers to a
file, not a directory

I'm using svn 1.4.3.
