I'd suggest not invoking Firefox this way. There's an option in Firefox
to tell it where it should put newly-opened stuff. You can set that to
"New Tab" and just run "firefox <URL>" and it'll do as you expect. I
don't have the problem of the window jumping to the current workspace
when invoking it that way. Not sure if that actually solves your
problem, but that's how it works for me. At any rate, this is likely a
problem with Firefox, not with Xfce.
