file association handling after re-emerge

Indeed, in my .local/share/applications/defaults.list was an entry
	"application/octet-stream=mplayer-bin.desktop"
I don't know why it resided there and when I added it ( I think I was)
but now it's working. Big THX

Oh yes, the biggest failure is in front of the screen...mostly.
