FreeBSD-6.2
xfce-4.4.1

I am unable to get 'mplayer'to work from within xfce. When attempting
to do so, I am greeted with this error message:

	[WS] Shared Memory Extension Error

'gdb' supplied me with little, other than this:

Compiled with runtime CPU detection.
[New Thread 0x87c5000 (LWP 100119)]

(<unknown>:1701): Gdk-WARNING **: shmget failed: error 12 (Cannot
allocate memory)

[ws] shared memory extension error

From the command line, mplayer works fine.

Anyone have any ideas how to proceed with this?
