Composite redraw problems

Ive switched on the composite extensions in xfwm and it seems to be
working fine. The only problem is that bringing one window in front of
another appears to leave the drop shadow of the previous window behind
when the screen is redrawn. (Usually forcing the window on top to redraw
removes the shadow).

Anyone else seen this and know of a fix? Or is it a known bug?

I am running the xorg-server (1.0.2-r7) using DRI with the Intel 945G
chipset.
