Two questions re: Xfce4.2.2 on Slack10.2

Hey all

Have just installed Slackware 10.2 with Xfce4.2.2 but was wondering

(1) how do I get a greater variety of icon themes than the default 
"rodent" type?
(2) why does kmail not show up on the panel anymore (the systray) but 
instead shows up on the thingy in which the icons for open apps appear 
(taskbar, I think)?

Any help on sorting this?
