Menu file format.

i'm hardly the correct person to comment on your questions... but here
i go, with all *i* know of the subject....

Xfce (xfdesktop) creates a menu based on the fd.o specs... (it might
not be implemented completely but Brian got pretty close for all i
know...)

So to answer your questions... i'd start to look in the xfdesktop code
on how the menu is built...
