It would be cool if Xfce 4.4 would ship with a script that could convert
the old panel config file to the new panel config system - with support
for all the core plugins and most of the 3rd party plugins that have
been ported (I believe it would have to handle the plugins on a case by
case basic). Especially if Xfce4-panel, when runned, would check if the
new config file existed, and if not, run the conversion script.
It could eventually also convert the old Xftaskbar configuration to a
second panel.

Maybe this would prevent a lot of the cries of "I lost my panel
config!".
