To be straight: Because distrowatch sucks donkey balls.

The last release caught up in their release announcements as well and I
demanded them to take it down since we were still in the process of
releasing (which takes some time especially if you want the hundreds of
different package  maintainers to create packages _before_ or at
least meanwhile the release is actually done). Now, I'm tired of
reminding distrowatch about our release policy (I think its even just a
braindead bot who actually collects the information) .. still, Xfce
4.2.2 has _not_ been released yet. Period.
