What does xfsm-dns.c do ?

  Can I just remove xfsm-dns.c and xfsm-dns.h from the
xfce4-session-4.2.0/xfce4-session directory and modify the makefiles ?
As it is now, Xfce 4.20 runs too slowly, when dialed out.
