Why xfprint-manager does not show the printers?

same here with 4.2.0. configured&compiled with --with-bsdlpr. 
./printing-systems/bsd-lpr/bsdlpr_plugin.la
but when i make a kernel-trace, xfprint-manager doesn't even try to open
/etc/printcap.
