Can't get rid of KDE kicker

Hi folks,

This is my first time using xfce4 (4.2), and I made the mistake of running the 
KDE kicker.  Now it starts up every time I start xfce4--as does Kweather, for 
some reason.  The processes start up during the last few seconds of the 
splash screen.  I can't seem to get rid of them, no matter how many processes 
I kill, and despite having deleted the config files and reinstalled xfce4.

I'd be grateful for any ideas.
