os-cillation.com's debian package can not use settings of 4.0.6

no. really don't. i installed xfce4.2 on my xfce4.0.6 desktop, then
quit, startx again. and then, all icons i added in 4.06 disappeared,
and background picture is changed, too. even more, the 4.06 taskbar
was put on the bottom by myself, while panel on the top, and now
reversed - this is default settings i think.
