Compositor woes

Do you know, how to enable transparency for the xfce taskbar automatically?

I have tried transset-df from http://www.forchheimer.se/transset-df/
where you can select a window by name or id. So i have used xwininfo to get the
informations about the taskbar:
xwininfo: Window id: 0x1000003 "Task List"
But with
trannset-df -id 0x1000003 -t 0.5
transset-df -n "Task List" -t 0.5
nothing changed :|

Now i'm using a shortcut control+t with the command transset-df -p -t 0.5 to
change the taskbar. This command changes the transparency under the mouse
pointer by pressing the shortcut.
